Puppy
Bob was 12 years old. He was the child of a poor family. His only passion in life was dogs. He loved dogs very much.He was visiting pet shops in the city every day.He was looking at the dogs in the pet shops. He was dreaming of the day he would have one of the little puppies.
He was begging his father every day. He was wanting him to give him the money to buy a small puppy. His father's financial means were poor. Therefore, he could not give the money he wanted to his son.Bob was very upset about this situation.
Bob needed at least $ 7 to buy a puppy. Bob saved some money for this.He managed to get one dollar from his father. Now he had 5 dollars.Of course, this money was not enough. But Bob was going to convince the seller somehow.
With $ 5 in his pocket, Bob went to the pet shop in the market.Bob was asking about all the puppies in the shop, one by one. However, the seller was reluctant to sell any of them for less than $ 7.
Bob asked for the price of a puppy last.
Seller: "That dog is not for sale." he said.
Bob asked why this happened.
Seller:
He said, "I can't sell that dog because he doesn't have a foot."
Bob:He said, "Let it be, I want it."
Seller:
"Son, that dog can't give you what it wants," he added.
Bob:"Like what?" he replied.
Seller: "This dog can't run, play with, entertain you." he said.
Unable to bear the child's insistence, the seller wanted to gift the puppy to the boy.But Bob refused the seller's offer.
"This puppy is as valuable as other puppies.I'll pay you $ 7 for this puppy. I'll give you $ 5 now. I will pay the remaining 2 dollars in weekly installments."
The seller agreed. The boy's love for dogs made the seller happy.
The seller took the money, could not overcome his curiosity and asked the boy.
Seller:
"Son, why did you insist on buying this puppy when this dog is crippled?"
Bob took off his right shoes, lifted his pants slightly and showed the prosthetic leg to the salesman.
"You didn't want to sell that puppy to me because he was crippled. But believe me, no puppy could make me happy like this puppy."
Bob embraced his puppy and happily made his way home. He finally had the puppy he had been dreaming of for years.
The salesman had learned the lesson of his life from a little boy.
